About the SBC
The North
Carolina Small Business Center Network, composed
of 58 Small
Business Centers throughout the state, supports the development of
new
businesses and the growth of existing businesses by being community-based
providers of training, counseling, and resource information.
Services include free or low-cost
seminars to help
start a new business, as well
as courses held in conjunction with Continuing Education departments
to help
small business owners improve their management skills and help their
businesses succeed and grow. Information is also available regarding
current
issues that affect small businesses. In addition, SBCs provide local, confidential, experienced
counselors as advisors
for new and existing businesses. Available on an as needed basis,
this local
confidential service acts as a sounding board for new ideas and
or concerns you may have about your business. Our professional staff
will help you find
solutions to your challenging business questions. No question is
too simple or
complicated. Centers also provide a wide
range of guides and resources to help
small businesses seek the information they need. These resources include
books and guides, from publications on business licenses required
for specific small businesses to books detailing how to create a
business plan. There is no charge for any SBC service. |
